Okay, I hadn't mentioned the news that's sweeping the Supernatural fandom--that there's an anime in production, yes that is a thing that is actually happening--but the announcement that Sam's going to be played by the guy who did Stein in Soul Eater and Dean's actor was in Kuroshitsuji is just. This is going to be a thing of beauty, isn't it.

So I spend days trying to find the raws for Soul Eater, then when I do find them most of them are .mp4 which neither Windows Movie Maker nor my laptop in general like, then I spend hours in the computer lab trying to get AfterEffects to convert an episode into .avi, trying many different time-consuming methods, none of which get the file down to ( Read more... )

Man, getting into the AMV business is hard when the series just got licensed and all the raw files have vanished off the face of the internet. (Because, y'know, it's the raw episodes that really detract from American DVD sales. Not the fansubbed ones! PICTURE TIME. What, you thought I wasn't going to provide any proof that my reports were more than hearsay? ...okay, so I didn't actually take pictures of most of the panels I attended. I think I have realized a significant portion of why I've been devouring anime so much recently--I have a secret and deep lust for 2D animation. Clean, crisp lines! Cel shading!
